How we work

How we work with clients.

A clear four-step process from first conversation to final document. Designed to feel calm and unhurried, because it should be.

How we work

A clear four-step process.

  1. 01

    Free consultation

A no-obligation conversation about your circumstances and what you want to achieve. We listen, ask the right questions and explain your options.

  2. 02

    Tailored advice and quote

Once we understand what you need, we explain what we recommend and why, and we give you a clear written quote. You decide whether to proceed.

  3. 03

    Drafting and review

We draft your documents from scratch, tailored to you. We send them to you to read, walk you through anything you want explained and adjust anything that is not quite right.

  4. 04

    Signing and storage

We guide you through the signing process, which has to be done correctly for the document to be valid. Secure storage is offered, so the original is never lost.

Preparation

What to bring to your appointment.

Most clients arrive with more than enough. The list below is a prompt, not a requirement.

  • A form of photo identification (passport, driving licence)
  • Any previous Will, even if you do not plan to keep it
  • An informal list of your assets and liabilities
  • Your mortgage details, if relevant
  • Names and approximate addresses of executors and beneficiaries
What we discuss

What we discuss together.

Across the consultation we cover the topics that matter to your situation. The list is broad on purpose, because the right plan depends on what is actually going on.

  • Executors and trustees: who would do this well, and who you trust
  • Guardians for minor children, if relevant
  • Specific gifts and personal items with sentimental weight
  • Charitable legacies, including any 5% IHT discount
  • Funeral wishes, even loosely sketched
  • Inheritance Tax exposure and planning options
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney, both kinds
  • Trusts where they fit, including for vulnerable beneficiaries
Take the first step

A thirty-minute conversation costs nothing and clarifies everything.

We will listen to your circumstances, explain your options, and give you a clear sense of what is involved. No pressure to proceed.
