Health and Welfare LPA

An LPA covering medical care, where the person lives, and (if specified) life-sustaining treatment. Can only be used if the donor has lost capacity.

A Health and Welfare LPA covers decisions on care, where the person lives, who can visit, and (if specifically authorised in the LPA) life-sustaining treatment.

Capacity is decision-specific. The LPA only applies where the donor has lost capacity for the relevant decision.
