Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)

The body that registers LPAs and supervises attorneys and Court-appointed Deputies in England and Wales.

The OPG is part of the Ministry of Justice. It operates the public register of LPAs, processes applications to register LPAs (currently around 16 to 20 weeks), and investigates concerns about attorney or deputy conduct.

The OPG charges a registration fee per LPA, currently £92, payable directly to it.
