Aylesham is a former mining village in East Kent, between Canterbury and Dover. Built in the 1920s and 30s for workers at Snowdown Colliery, the village has changed considerably since the colliery closed in the 1980s. It remains a tight-knit community, with strong family roots across multiple generations.
