Our office is in Aylesham, around twenty miles inland, and we visit Thanet clients at home as well as meeting in our office, by video or by telephone.

Thanet has its own character and always has. The three coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate sit within a short drive of each other but each tells a different story: Margate with its art and creative-industries regeneration around Turner Contemporary and the Old Town, Broadstairs with its sheltered Viking Bay, Dickens links and quieter family feel, and Ramsgate with the royal harbour, the marina and the working maritime community at Ramsgate Port. Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington sit further west, with the longer settled retirement and family communities.
Estate planning needs in Thanet reflect that mix. We see retired couples who have lived locally all their working lives and want straightforward mirror Wills; new arrivals from London buying first homes in Margate and Broadstairs and writing their first Will; older clients in the inland villages with long histories of property ownership and adult children spread across the south-east; and family business owners along the seafront and in the old industries inland.
The Thanet network includes financial advisers, accountants and solicitors who already refer clients to SLS. Sara has worked alongside East Kent practitioners across her career and Thanet is, for our purposes, part of the same patch as Canterbury and the rural villages further south.

Most Thanet clients meet us in one of three ways. Some prefer to come to our office in Aylesham, which is a thirty-minute drive south through Canterbury or via the A299 and A256. The office has parking on site and meeting rooms set up for client conversations.
Other clients prefer a home visit. We visit across the Isle of Thanet as part of our standard service. Home visits work particularly well for elderly clients, for clients whose mobility makes travel harder, and for clients who would rather have these conversations at a kitchen table than in an office.
For working clients with busy schedules, we run consultations by video and by telephone. The first thirty-minute conversation can happen during a lunch break, on a quiet evening, or at a weekend. The format does not change the work; it changes the convenience.

Not at all. Aylesham is around twenty miles from Margate, and Thanet has always been part of the East Kent area we serve. Sara worked in Canterbury and the surrounding area for many years before founding SLS and Thanet clients have long been part of the practice.
Our standard fixed prices apply across the whole of Kent and England and Wales: single Wills from £120 inc. VAT, mirror Wills from £180, LPAs from £300 plus £92 OPG fee. We confirm any quote in writing before any work begins.
